Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most from New York patients about our Brooklyn consulting and coordination service, our partnership with Taki Dent in Antalya, pricing, travel, records and aftercare. Tap a question to expand it.
My Dentist Brooklyn Consulting LLC is a Brooklyn-based dental treatment consulting and coordination company. Dental treatment is provided by our partner clinic, Taki Dent, in Antalya, Turkey. We do not provide dental treatment at our Brooklyn office.
Is My Dentist Brooklyn a dental office?
No. My Dentist Brooklyn Consulting LLC is a Brooklyn-based dental treatment consulting and coordination company, not a dental practice. Our Brooklyn office does not provide dental treatment — no exams, X-rays, diagnoses or procedures happen there. We help you understand your options, organize your records, and coordinate a written estimate and travel with our partner clinic, Taki Dent.
Where is the dental treatment actually performed?
All clinical treatment is performed at Taki Dent, our disclosed partner clinic, in Antalya, Turkey. Taki Dent is located at Güzeloba Mah., Havaalanı Cd. No:13 C, Muratpaşa, Antalya 07230, roughly an 8–10 minute drive from Antalya Airport (AYT). No treatment of any kind takes place at our Brooklyn office.
What does the Brooklyn office actually do?
Our Brooklyn office, at 1801 Dorchester Rd 2, Brooklyn, NY 11226, handles consultation and coordination by appointment (Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.). That means: explaining treatment options and pricing, organizing your dental records and history, coordinating communication with Taki Dent's clinical team, helping you understand a written estimate, and supporting travel logistics before and after your trip.
Who provides the clinical assessment and diagnosis?
Taki Dent's own treating, licensed dentists in Antalya provide the clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan — never My Dentist Brooklyn, and never remotely from our Brooklyn office. What you can get from us before travel is a preliminary, case-specific estimate based on the records you share; the formal clinical assessment happens in person, in Antalya.
Are the prices shown guaranteed?
The figures shown are Taki Dent's own fixed US-dollar starting prices alongside typical published US ranges. If you provide a CBCT scan, Taki Dent gives you a fixed, written final price before you travel — you know the full cost in advance, and it is guaranteed not to change through the end of your treatment. Without a CBCT, the shown figure is a close preliminary estimate that a CBCT then confirms before you commit; the final figure reflects your case — implant brand and quantity, bone condition, materials selected, and any additional procedures required.
What's included in the starting price?
Starting prices cover the dental procedure itself — for example, an implant fixture and zirconia crown, or a full-arch All-on-4/All-on-6 restoration — as itemized on your written plan from Taki Dent, and your hotel and VIP transfers (airport ↔ hotel ↔ clinic and back) for the treatment period are included in that price too. What they do not include is your own flight (a New York–Antalya round trip is typically around $700–$1,200), meals, or case-specific add-ons such as bone grafting or sinus lifts unless your written plan states so. Always check the inclusions line by line before booking your flight.
How many trips to Antalya does treatment usually require?
It depends on the treatment. Many implant cases require two visits — one for implant placement and one, typically after a healing period of a few months, for the permanent crown or restoration. Same-day load protocols exist for some full-arch cases but are not appropriate for every patient. Crowns, veneers and simpler restorative work can sometimes be completed in a single visit of several days. Your written treatment plan from Taki Dent will specify the expected number of visits for your case.
Are the hotel and transfers included in the price?
Yes. Your hotel and VIP transfers (airport ↔ hotel ↔ clinic and back) for the treatment period are included in Taki Dent's treatment price. The one travel cost you pay yourself is your own flight — a New York–Antalya round trip is typically around $700–$1,200 — plus meals and travel insurance. A companion's flight and any extra room cost are the patient's responsibility unless your plan states otherwise. Don't purchase non-refundable tickets before your treatment plan and travel dates are confirmed.
What happens if I have a problem after I return to New York?
Contact us and Taki Dent directly — we stay reachable after you're home and can help you understand whether what you're experiencing looks routine or worth flagging to the clinic. For anything urgent or painful, see a licensed local dentist in Brooklyn or, for a medical emergency, call 911; we do not provide emergency dental care ourselves. Any warranty coverage from Taki Dent for eligible treatment is subject to the specific conditions in your written warranty documentation — it is a limited written warranty, not an unconditional guarantee.
Can I use my US dental insurance for treatment at Taki Dent?
Most US dental insurance plans do not cover treatment performed outside the United States, so plan to pay Taki Dent directly for your treatment. Some patients successfully submit an itemized invoice from Taki Dent to their insurer or FSA/HSA administrator for possible partial reimbursement after the fact, but this is never guaranteed — confirm directly with your specific plan or administrator before assuming any reimbursement.
Who receives my X-rays and other health information?
Records and images you share with us are used to prepare your case file and are shared with Taki Dent's clinical team so they can prepare a preliminary estimate and, later, your treatment plan. We do not sell your health information, and we do not use uncontrolled channels for sensitive records. See our privacy policy for full detail on how your information is collected, used, and transferred to Turkey as part of coordinating your treatment.
What is the relationship between My Dentist Brooklyn and Taki Dent?
We are two separately owned companies connected by a disclosed commercial partnership, not one organization operating under two names. My Dentist Brooklyn Consulting LLC does not own, operate, or share ownership with Taki Dent, and Taki Dent does not own or operate us. We coordinate patients with Taki Dent under this partnership, and we disclose it clearly wherever it's relevant — not just in a footer.
Do you receive compensation when a patient books treatment?
Yes, and we disclose it plainly: when a patient we work with proceeds with treatment at Taki Dent, we may receive compensation connected to the consulting and coordination services we provided. In some cases we may also charge a separate, disclosed consulting fee directly to a patient. We do not add a hidden markup to the dental treatment price itself.
Is this a good option for a dental emergency?
No. If you have a dental emergency — severe pain, facial swelling, a knocked-out tooth, uncontrolled bleeding — see a local dentist immediately or call 911 where appropriate. Coordinating a preliminary estimate, a written treatment plan and international travel takes time, which makes this process unsuitable for anything that needs same-day care.
Can everyone get dental implants?
No. Candidacy depends on factors like bone density and volume, gum health, certain medical conditions, smoking, and medications, among others — which is exactly why a clinical assessment by a treating dentist matters and why we don't make that determination ourselves. Taki Dent's clinical team evaluates your specific case, using imaging such as a CBCT scan where appropriate, before confirming whether implants are suitable for you or whether an alternative restoration makes more sense.
